NW, Washington, DC, Additions & Renovation/Special Project - $160,000
Kate needed to renovate her home so it would function better for her growing family. Like so many DC row homes, Kate’s home was tight and closed off. The first floor was comprised of several disjointed small rooms. Kate knew she wanted better sight lines but was not sure how to achieve that while maintaining her homes character. She cam to Merrick looking for the solution. We opened up her living space by converting three rooms into one large great room. We installed new trim to bring the spaces together so they would feel original. Then under took the huge task of carefully exposing the brick wall adding warmth and character to the space. The millwork on the stairs add even more charm to the space. Finally A roof top deck was also added for more outdoor space.
