Takoma Park, MD, Kitchen/Additions & Renovation - $800,000
Steve and his family treasured their Victorian home in Takoma Park but it just was not meeting their needs. They wanted a more open flow that would help bring their family and guest together. We added a great room, kitchen, and dining room. That almost doubled the size of Steve’s Victorian home!
This Addition includes a new great room that is loaded with extra features from a cathedral ceiling with lighted soffits, to a concrete slab fireplace. The luxury kitchen has high-end appliances and custom-built cabinetry. In addition, it features concrete countertops and a handmade counter-to-ceiling tile backslash. Design elements such as the table like kitchen island help to maintain the Victorian charm. The space also includes a large dining area off of the living space. The niche is wrapped in tall windows to show off the impressive view of their yard. It fits a table large enough to comfortably seat 8, which certainly helps with family togetherness. From the dining room you step out onto the new back porch and slate patio, which adds even more living space for this family to enjoy.
Steve’s Addition was completed in 2008 and it still looks fantastic. Steve has recently returned to Merrick to tackle renovation the homes 3 bathrooms and we are excited to work with him again.
