Julio Osuna

My Story

Julio Osuna has been an Assistant Carpenter with Merrick Design and Build since 2006.  Not only does Julio work hands-on with his Lead Carpenters on the job site, he has also been the company truck driver since 2011 where he is responsible for transporting and buying the materials needed for all of Merrick’s projects. “What I do is very wide on possibilities to be useful any time, anywhere in the company and that brings me more motion at every job. It keeps me very active!” Coming to Merrick through a company referral, Julio enjoys the team atmosphere and being able to work in “harmony” with his coworkers. He likes being able to work with and train new employees to integrate them with the support of his team, before long everyone becomes part of the family.  He trusts and values the organization in the company that “is growing and always doing the best.”

What does Julio like most about his job? “The many ways we are updated on the way we as a company go, and we can overview often how to improve our production. We also feel a good relationship with our bosses!”

Julio outside of Merrick:  A true family man with children and a grandson, Julio loves doing any and everything with his family! “I spend time with my family on their many activities, solving their problems and helping them in many ways. The rest of the time I research history, genealogy, writings, painting for graphics, and learning video editing. I also assist a couple times a week at church, spending time with them on church activities.”

The inviting open concept elevates the design of the whole home The two-toned cabinets add a creative and stylish complement to David's experienced taste Granite counter tops and a Butcher Block peninsula complement the two toned cabinets A refined new dining space mirrors the look of the two toned cabinets and thus creates an overall cohesive look. Cheery yellow walls add to the elegantly coordinated space which is perfect for entertaining dinner guests. The kitchen pass through in classic black and white Slate floors are perfect for the mudroom as is the bench for when removing shoes The powder room vanity is accentuated by a large round wooden mirror A large walk-in pantry was needed for everyday and bulk shopping storage Mudroom cubbies hold all the family's castoffs from head to toe David's kitchen before the renovations Project Mantra
