Jan contacted Merrick for a new outdoor living space when her existing deck and pergola were starting to feel run down. She need help to evaluate the structural integrity of the existing deck and to redesign it so her family could get more use out of their outdoor living space. The new design relocated the sitting are to anew screened in porch on the far end of the deck. The deck’s structure was strengthened to support the new porch. The deck boards and railings were replaced and the pavers walkway to the deck reset. The new screened in porch features a vaulted breadboard ceiling, and a custom pine screen door.
