David Merrick started Merrick Design and Build back in 1989 with the idea of providing a better remodeling experience for the people of Northwest DC and Montgomery County. Over the past 30 years, Merrick Design & Build has improved the look, feel, and function of countless homes all while refining their design-build remodeling process. Addie joined the company in 2010 with a degree in architecture and construction management as well as a lifetime of living and working in the construction industry. While father and daughter proved to be an outstanding team, the intent was always for Addie to eventually take over and continue building upon the strong foundation built by her father.

In 2020, Addie’s husband Jose joined the team to add an Apartment Services Division to the roster of services Merrick Design and Build provides. This department provides turn over services when tenants move in and out of rental properties.

After years of watching David build Merrick Design and Build into the successful company it continues to be, Addie, Jose, and the rest of the Merrick team look forward to continuing the legacy that David built by providing serene home and property improvement services to the home and property owners of Montgomery County and Northwest DC for years to come.
