Scot & Metri’s Kitchen

Project Overview

Scot and Metri, returning clients with a love for cooking, approached us to redesign their outdated kitchen to better fit their growing family’s needs. While their vacation homes featured modern designs, their primary residence lacked the style and functionality they desired. With two kids and a passion for culinary experiences, they wanted a kitchen that would serve as both a gathering space and a functional, beautiful hub for cooking.

The biggest challenge was the inefficient layout, with the cooktop and exhaust hood taking up precious island space. As the island was central to both cooking and socializing, we focused on creating a more practical layout. Key design elements, like a gold Kohler faucet and red Wolf range knobs, needed to be seamlessly integrated. A refined palette of green, off-white, and walnut tied everything together, and custom cabinetry maximized storage, including a peg drawer system to store their unique plates. The result was a kitchen that balanced aesthetics with everyday functionality.

Back for the three-peat, this is Scot & Metri's third home remodeling project with Merrick! Check out their fabulous screened-in porch too.
