to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.

Ideas

We have an open discussion about your
project and how it can come together. We will
talk about what you are looking to accomplish
and discuss a realistic range of costs. Then
together, we will explore the possibilities of
how we can make your remodel possible.

DESIGN AGREEMENT

The Design Agreement outlines 3 key things. The goals of your remodel, a budget range and the design work needed to get you to construction. The Design Agreement is a fixed fee and does not obligate you to a Construction Contract.

DESIGN DEVELOPMNET

Initial designs are created to explore your goals. Together we review the designs using our 3D software, editing them as needed to create the design that meets your family’s needs. Depending on the complexity of your project this step may take several meetings.

FEASBILITY

During this step we bring in our trusted traded partners to evaluate your home and identify any potential challenges or assets in advance. For example, your home may require an electrical heavy up that we need to plan for. Projects are feasible when they solve all your home’s problems, can be built within your budget, and really excite your imagination.

CONTRACT PRESENTATION

Once design is complete, we will meet with you to review your contract plans and scope of work in detail. We use an interactive online portal called, BuilderTrend, to organize your project. From this portal you have access to your fixed price Construction Contract, along with all the other details of your project. Upon acceptance of your contract a 10% deposit is due, and planning begins.

DETAILS

Final finishes and products are the details that turn your remodel into your home. We help with product selection from our home office and if needed by visiting local show rooms together. All selections are tracked through BuilderTrend.

CONSTRUCTION

Once all the pieces are in place construction begins. You will be paired up with one of our Lead Carpenter, who will be your day to day contract for construction. They are responsible to over see your project and the team of dedicated professionals and craftsmen who will bring your project to life.

WARRANTY

Merrick has a five year warranty to take care of your project long after it has been completed. In addition, our Home Repair Team will be happy to help you with any future projects you may have. Many of our customers return to Merrick year after year for all their home’s needs.
